Very ferry

This is the sea taxi back from Old Nessebar. We had a lovely day and decided this was a more pleasant option than the other, a crowded bus. Half way back though it started to get a bit rough and then, as we got to the jetty to land and the boat started to turn a wave hit us broad side on. The boat dropped with it and hit the bottom! It's only shallow there though so not a long way down, but a bit startling, the waves then broke over the top of us and we were all drenched!!!
very exciting but nobody was hurt and we dried quite quickly in the wind after we landed! The old Bulgarian Orthodox churches in Nessebar are quite lovely and alongside the 14th century frescoes, some of the decoration looked quite like designs by William Morris, see extra.
