Barter books

A busy morning cleaning and cooking for friend Joan arriving from Cumbria.

I picked her up At Alnmouth Station and drove her to Barter Books where we had a light lunch and chatted. Then she had a browse in her favourite book shop. She bought another book about Venice - she is leading her English group on a year’s project, plus is going next week on the Orient Express.

I’m tired already - we have been friends for over 50 years when we were both working in Hong Kong, but she is a big talker!
