After school snack

We picked James up after his second morning at school. Firstly we went to the park adjacent to school where he had a friend to play with. The friend’s Granny was very nervous about her boy climbing the swirly ladder onto the big kids’ slide. Needless to say James was up in in no time.

However when the other Granny suggested they moved to the small kids’ area and he went without fuss. I was very impressed when they didn’t push in - a really little girl was frozen at the top but they waited patiently till she finally went down. We gave them plenty praise for being considerate and patient. Let’s hope it sticks.

After that he wanted to go to a cafe for a scone. His other Granny likes a cafe so he was able to take us there. (His cousin Nathaniel can lead us to every sushi bar in Newcastle). He had a scone with lemon icing on it.

He was a delight all day! I’m a bit shell-shocked. Thomas is happy in Year 2.

So that’s us done with childminding for quite a while. Bring on the G&T !!!
