THE FOX BENDER...

...is an ingenious contraption for bending guitar sides.  You thoroughly wet the wood & wrap it in aluminium foil - then make a sandwich.

 Against the mold comes a flexible stainless steel sheet & above that comes the wrapped wood - above that comes the heat blanket connected to a good quality rheostat - then another flexible stainless steel sheet.

Fire up the rheostat & as soon as steam begins to escape you can start to cramp down the waist - when the temperature gets up to 165°C you crank it all down, switch off & let it cool overnight.

In the morning you should have a perfectly bent side!
