TOURIST IN ATHENS

Today M and I were both like tourists in Athens. We got up early and got a taxi to Philopappos Hill. There was no one about so we were able to do some silly tourist poses!!! Then; like tourists, we were ripped off when buying a drink from a kiosk!!!
We strolled down to the plaka where we stopped in a lovely taverna down an alleyway covered with a grape vine. We also shared a plate of tatziki.
We met M’s mum at the town hall to do a bit of official paperwork for a new home they are moving in to next month.
When we got home we shared a lovely lunch with homemade meatballs. Then I tried to get as much as possible in my suitcase!!! I was happy to get some siesta time before I made my journey home.
M joined me at the airport and we had another farewell pose. (She will return to England in 3 weeks).
All went smoothly....plane was only 30 mins late which was good. Landed just before midnight English time (after in Greek time!!). So so happy to get a hug from the Rev. and a cup of tea :))))
Had an amazing adventure but glad to be home.
