Tradition in the 21st century.

Can't help but admire the skill in this old traditional way of thatching. I was torn between posting this in sepia or B&W. But with a sky that colour I decided to post this one with a sepia one as the extra! Invoking memories of days gone by. Love these clear September mornings, it always feels so fresh.

May go back and see what 'signature' this thatcher will leave. Traditionally a thatcher leaves his own unique signature, often in the form of an animal, or a bird.
