Sally Mair - Loving life

Animals of Chester

I had the morning free before my meeting today so I went for a walk around the city walls of Chester. It's only about a two mile walk but there was lots to see so it took me around an hour. So many pictures to choose from so I chose an animal theme.
The collage above shows:
A lion standing proud on top of a modern building across the wall from the Roman Gardens.
A beautiful life size bronze of an Indian (my favourite type) baby elephant near to the Cathedral.
An extraordinary pairing of a skeletonised horse sculpture and a racing rhino at Chester racecourse and a posing cormorant on the River Dee.
My meeting went well, it was great catching up with like minded friends from all across the UK, today was the Standing committee which I guess is the decision making and planning body, tomorrow's meeting is more faith focused with a service in the cathedral in the afternoon for people from all around the coumtry who are involved in Cursillo.
I chose my hotel well, 10 minutes walk from the cathedral and 5 from the station.
17450 steps today
