Today was my dream day for photographing leopard. We had woken to elephant and leopard tracks on the path through camp, so that’s what all the noise in the night was all about. The game drive picked up 2 female lions stalking impala, they moved in a scissor movement around the impala but were seen at the critical moment and the impala all got away. We moved on to watch a leopard do a similar thing again unsuccessfully. We continued moving with the leopard following her as she climbed 2 trees and presented the photographic poses I had hoped for on this trip.


Back in camp a teenage elephant came up to our bathroom mesh window and munched his way through a bush that had been previously been good for watching sunbirds feed on.
