Sunrise :)

I sent this photo to my mum this morning when she asked what the weather was like here! It is the view from the front verandah on Venice beach across to the rest of LA and Santa Monica. It was very pretty!

We were awake really early this morning. I woke up at about 3 and Sam did an hour later. We gave up at 5 and got up and made tea and watched Miranda. Then we tried to go back to bed for a while but neither of us could sleep. At about 7 we got up and made breakfast and started to get ready for the day. We walked all the way to Santa Monica today which took a little under an hour. We wandered around there and then found a cinema that was showing the Hobbit and tickets were only $6! So we watched that ahead of going to New Zealand! Then we had a wonderful late lunch at this cute French place and wandered slowly back. We have spent the evening chatting to our host and sorting a few things out. Another early night is in order I think!
