The Hug Deli!

We encountered this stall as we walked along between Venice beach and Santa Monica. Basically you paid them 2 compliments and they gave you a hug! It was funny.

We were still battling jet lag today, but managed to sleep until 5.30- so that's an improvement! We had a lovely breakfast with our host- pumpkin spice doughnuts! Yum! They were made from pancake batter that is made up a bit thicker than needed for pancakes, which is a brilliant idea! Then we went out to see the Venice Canals, which was cool. They were so pretty.

We wandered back to the beachfront to get some lunch and then encountered the Hug Deli. On the walkway at the beachfront there are lots of different artists selling the things they have made and I bought a cute sign for when we get our house- I'm collecting things around on our trip!

Just before sunset we went to this roof terrace bar and had a glass of wine and watched the sun go down- it was lovely and reminded us of South Africa a bit.
