Hoy Ahoy

Finally our destination in sight! Well, not quite. This is the Isle of Hoy, and we were headed to Mainland (the largest of the Orkneys). Hoy's cliffs are spectacular (see extras), but difficult to photograph through the haze on a pitching ship, with the sun coming from the "wrong" direction. 

We got here in fine weather, though, and have just been relaxing at our home for the next 5 days, surrounded by sheep and rabbits and with a view down to Skara Brae, where we will go tomorrow.
