Another line of showers marches in
Successive wave of showers seasoned with the odd rumble of thunder scuppered any plans for working in the garden or on the fence. Much cooler than before we went up to Scotland.
Caught up with a pile of tasks that accumulated while we were away including restocking the larder.
The showers relented later in the afternoon allowing us out for a walk only to be ambushed by a sneaky downpour towards the end of the walk and on our way to the allotment. There it is gathering menacingly in the west.
Susan carried on to see her mum while I picked veg and spuds in the rain. I had to carry the harvest home in a trug as there was far too much for the bag I’d brought. Some super raspberries ripened while we were away.
