Not Before Time!

At last, a warm sunny day.  In the morning we all went to Harestanes. TM and Dunc took Raf for a walk and the rest of us went to the splendid new playground. There are some interesting pieces of equipment and Matty and Emily had a go at most of them. In the extra they are working out how best to get this unusual swing going.

After lunch it was into the vegetable garden for a harvesting session - three lots of potatoes were lifted, plus broad beans, purple-podded peas, tomatoes, cucumber and of course, courgettes. And it looks as if we're having a bumper pumpkin crop, fingers crossed they don't rot off.

The butterflies are here. Loads of peacocks and cabbage whites and a few painted ladies. So at last I've got this year's  butterfly blip.
