Reality Bites

Back to reality today. Seeing the department of defence completely destroy the natural surroundings is so depressing. Where I was standing to take this photo would normally be a lovely flowing creek, but they've filled most if it in with soil in preparation for the bridge they are going to build over it.

This bridge and road loops around and will join the existing road we currently ride to work on. All so that in case of war there will be an extra escape route from the ammunition cave they are building bombing into the side of the mountain.

All so ridiculously depressing. Can't wait until it's all finished, the military have left and the surrounding forest can start trying to recover. Oh and we might actually get some peace around here for a change!
