Sedum roof

When Mike built me a garden hut last year, he decided he really wanted to give it a sedum roof.  It's been a great success and looks great.  It was one of the main topics of conversation when we opened for the Garden Festival too.

At the moment Mike is nursing some tiny alpines, which he has grown from seed, to add to the roof - if we can keep the wretched sparrows off it!  They delight in digging in the grit, excavating huge hollows in it and scattering it far and wide!
