A change on the way
The family left in a flurry of activity this morning as they set out on their long 8 hour journey home and I have just heard that they have arrived safely.
The dogs and I felt a bit forlorn when the car had turned the corner away from us and so we went for a really, really long walk. We were out for such a long time that I was able to monitor the frequent changes in the sky and watch with fascination as the variations in light made for a moving landscape with different perspectives. I particularly loved this shot where a front is moving in over the hills, eating up the small patch of blue sky as it progresses. When I had started the walk all the hills were enveloped to quite a low level with thick grey cloud so this patch of blue had been rather special today.
