Cutting up some fruit for tea tonight and thinking how much the worms in our wormery would enjoy the peelings, I decided to photograph them. The worms in it (Can o'worms) were a present for D's birthday about 15 years ago (what to buy the man who has everything...) and sits in the outbuilding. WE put all our peelings in the top, and beautiful compost and plant food comes out of the bottom.

Anyway, the photos weren't much good - the light was poor in there and the worms were feeling shy. Instead, here is one of those odd things which have been around for ever but never seem to get thrown out. Someone made this once as the base of a basket, and before that, someone planted the willow and harvested it. One of these days, someone will burn it. Until then, it sits in the outbuilding, and someone has blipped it.
