Flower Sipping
Camping Day 7 (Backblipped on Thursday)
I ran out of Blip motivation so this is the first of my backblips of the last four days of our trip. This blip is from Sunday, our first day on our own after our friends left. It was a beautiful morning and I decided to photograph all the different wildflowers I could find in the campground. My favorite is the main blip and there is a collage in the first extra. There weren't a lot to choose from and, as you can see, some were at the end of their blooms. My second extra is Tommy and Betty on their bikes. If you've been following me for a while you might remember them from previous camping trips.
After our nice morning the wind came up suddenly and fiercely. We scrambled to get our awning in (fortunately it's done with the push of a button) and everything secured in our site before taking refuge inside. I love our big windows in the camper because we can watch the weather from inside. There were 2-3 foot swells and white caps on the lake. We watched a movie on Netflix and fixed dinner and by then the storm had passed and we went back outside for our campfire.
I am grateful that our neighbors got their boat back to shore safely during the storm. They said it was a harrowing experience! They had invited us to go along with them but we declined because PD didn't want to take Piper on the boat. Good thing!!
