Inhaca

A day trip to Inhaca Island across Maputo Bay. Visiting here is a relatively common pursuit by Maputo residents and tourists but at this time of the year the cool winds deter most. There was a very fun, rough and wet boat ride followed by a quiet island and a journey to an isolated beach accompanied by the new Lion King soundtrack.

Napping on a beautiful stretch of sand, a hearty lunch and a return boat trip to be greeted by the Maputo skyline at sunset. Not a bad Sunday by any stretch of the imagination.
