Striding out in Split

A beautiful morning in Split as we docked.

Today we have been on a Game of Thrones walking tour. The two extras show the settings used in the series that featured the town of Meereen, with its castle and walls, then on to the dungeon in the Palace, which is where Kalise chained up her dragons :-) minus the staircase, apparently which was CGI'd in afterwards. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, both of Croatian history and Game of Thrones, she made the morning really interesting and entertaining.

Once the tour finished we explored the City, visited their market, walked along the seafront, had an Aperol Spritz in a bar that had those fans that sprayed mist to cool customers, boy did we need it, it was very hot!

The main blip is of the busy and rather attractive promenade in Split, a place we hope to visit again!
