A day at the races

I was up early this morning to finish off a couple of things Id run out of steam for yesterday....cleaned the kitchen windows and all the worktops and island. Then a wuick shower and change ready for our friends to arrive.

We sat out on the deck with a cool drink catching up for an hour or so, before walking to the Racecourse.

I dont think the new computerised entry system at the course was a hit, seemed to talk longer than the old fashioned turnstyles!!
£10 each entry, well for those over a certain age, the lady looked at me and said £20 please. Suppose I should be flattered ;-)

This is the only photo I took whilst we were at the races, but I quite like it, luckily!

Each of us had a winner at least, some more than others :-/ We had some refreshments, as you do, with the last race at 5pm. A somewhat slower walk home as it had become quite warm late afternoon.

More liquid refreshments on the deck back at home, followed by a wash and brush up and out again for a meal at 8pm. We all enjoyed the food, the chat and the venue. Two friends departed for home and two stayed over with us.

A nightcap, or maybe it was two, before bed, sn sll round nice day :-)
