Treasure
Someone must have wanted to hold on to this boat and bike pretty badly. It is chained to one side of the dock, and roped to the other. I'm not sure they're much use anymore as the salt water has rusted their parts. Maybe...there was a boy who saw the storm coming and in order to save his valuable treasures he put his bike in the boat and figured that it would float on the rising water under the boat. Maybe he had other treasures that he placed in the hull of the boat and somehow made it water proof. Then, when his family's house was blown away by the wind, he would still have his valuable treasures. After the storm was over, his family received word that their home was gone, so they moved to Massachusetts, where there are no storms and no floods...only blizzards. And they made a new home. The boy wondered about his boat and his bike and his other treasure. He thought that it was a toss up whether or not the bike would make it (it did). One day the boy will come back and find all of his valuable treasure. And he will know that the water can't wash away everything.
P.S. I went back to the church...but this photo beat out all the rest. If you would like to see the rest, click here.
