On The Island

This was the first thing I saw when we drove onto the island in January. Besides it's frame, this building is absolutely gone. It was a baptist church. Looking around there is so much debris in this building that one wouldn't even be able to walk through it. I'm pretty sure this sign existed before Ike came, but I think it's fitting now.

Disclaimer:
This is the only thing I took a picture of today and I was by myself by an abandoned building. If I wasn't so freaked out by it, I would have investigated a little further. Also, I hate crooked pictures. I thought this one was nice though. It gives the impression that my camera was a piece of debris lying in the aftermath.
