The dropped stitch

White House, Grey Evening

The end of another wet and windy day. V and I thought our spirits might be significantly lifted by a takeaway Indian meal.

We were right!

Whilst waiting for it to be cooked, I took a few photos in the gloom. This expensive, grandly designed council building has had a chequered history. Nicknamed The White House, its story is way too long and complicated for a mere blip page. Suffice to say lots of money has been involved. The office workers moved in, then had to all move out again, and I think now they are moving back in again. There is no entry allowed by the front doors, though.

I think the grey backdrop rather suits its unhappy story.
