Always the wrong lens
We drove out to Hidcote Manor today to walk the gardens.
The weather seemed confused and kept raining on us sporadically, but we had a good day. I took only a walkabout lens, not expecting anything other than flowers and the occasional and delightful twirl in the trees (extra), but then this fellow turned up.
Safe in the knowledge the flower beds were far deeper than anyone dared encroach into, this golden fellow just sat there, barely visible. The 24-105F4 did it's best, but this is a deep crop, and even then he had his face hidden. Ah well.
No doubt tomorrow they will be closer, and I'll only have the telephoto...
