Not up north

UK set for hottest day of the year

So says the headline on the BBC website . . . not here 
The sun made an appearance first thing this morning, then it realised it was in the wrong place and hurtled back down south. Since then it has been so cold and I couldn't even get the washing dry as it started to drizzle. 

Anyway we had the luxury of a bacon sandwich for lunch, a very special bacon sandwich as Gordon had made the rolls and has salted his own bacon. No Nasty Nitrates, so we can kid ourselves this bacon sandwich is healthy! Healthy or not, it was delicious and an antidote to the weather.
