Thomas on another adventure

Unfortunately we forgot to set the boys’ grow clocks to a later time so they were up at 6.30 am.

James’s behaviour has been quite challenging this time so I thought it a good plan to separate the boys. Mr C dropped Thomas and me at the lower end of Cragside with the map, while he drove James up to the adventure playground. Thomas and I had a good chat, and he loved finding the way.

Then he and James charged round the play area till they got tired and then went through the mud walk several times. We had a picnic in the car as it was so cold outside, then walked round the lake.

James fell asleep in the car on the way home. I was dropped off in town to take back the Nike trainers which were too expensive, then took the metro to Whitley Bay.

#2 daughter was pleased when Thomas told her he’d learned a new word. “Granny said I was growing mature”. James said he wanted to stay for 2 nights next time so I said he’d have to be more cooperative. But apparently we’re already signed up for 2 nights in July.
