Vienna Day 2
Backblip#2
We wanted to spend the day at Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the former imperial rulers. First we stopped off at the amazing Cafe Central and had coffee and cake breakfast. The cakes are fabulous (see extras for our choice) and the decor stunning. We walked to St Stephen's Square to catch the train to Schönbrunn and had a look inside the cathedral. The Blip show the Sky of Stones installation. The lights are gold at the moment after Easter then will turn red at Pentecost on 9th June.
We did a tour of the palace then took the little train around the vast park areas, stopping off at an inn for lunch on the way. After the various gardens we were cold and tired so we made our way back to the car park where hubby and I had left the car the day before. It was late when we got to our village so we had a bowl of soup then went to bed.
