Hot Christmas Sauna And Icy Snow

The christmas evening in Finland. This is The Day! The photo is taken at countryside where we left for christmas - to celebrate with our parents.

The shot is taken during our sauna bathing as some of us took dive into snow too. There is wonderful, clean snow some 40cm....

You maybe can imagine the feeling when you first go to sauna where is some +80c degrees warm and where nice hot steam softens your skin and mind... In sauna you just relax, sit and enjoy the happiness and warmness of the moment ;) - and after a while maybe take a short hike/ breath outside. Naked of course, or the towel around you. Maybe dive into the snow too.
Today we have some -12c degrees with mild wind and huge amount of snow. Diving into the icy snow from hot sauna is very fast happening - cool experience indeed. It differs from swimming in icy lake, as the snow attaches to your skin and keeps on the skin until melts down, back in sauna. Icy water is of course cool (+4- -0c degrees) as you swim in the water, but it mostly droppes off as you get out from the icy lake...

After sauna comes the Santa Clause visit us. He is from the Northpole of Finland, of course. I hope I'll get some presents, or atleast one.. Of course we only get some if we have been good girls and boys for the whole year!

If you want to see where Santa1 (the reindeers and sledge of Santa claus) are travelling, it is possible via this link: http://www.flightradar24.com/SANTA1

I wish you a very merry christmas, all!
