Five Flowers Formentera

Claire had been invited to the opening of a new 5* hotel in Formentera, and invited me as her +1!! We caught the boat in the morning and enjoyed a beach picnic before check in time...a lovely shiny hotel, gorgeous pools and staff...and a huge opening party in the evening with lots of free food and drink. The views were amazing...you can see Es Vedra to the right of this pic...strange to be able to see Dalt Vila in Ibiza from this rooftop! Ha!
Late evening we popped to a nearby town to hear Claire's friend doing a DJ set in the town square...it also happened to be Formentera's film festival, so we caught some of that!! Then, joy of joys, a bed to myself, uninterrupted sleep...ahhhhhh bliss! My first night away from the kids in years...the last time was when Mom had meningitis 3 years ago, and the time before that was years too!
I feel very grateful to Claire for inviting me along for this lovely experience.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Claire's generosity.
2) Cava on the beach.
3) Stunning sunsets.
