Nevermind Peas and Lettuce! Gimme Bread!

I've tried giving healthy treats to the swans that visit us but they just won't eat their greens! Anyway, Swan Rescue put out a memo earlier in the year asking boaters to feed the swans bread as some didn't make it through the winter through lack of food.
They said it was because certain organisations had advised people to stop giving bread to swans and ducks. 
Strangely all these organisations sold swan and duck food! :-/
Well this swan was happy today; also I noticed he was hanging about by the water outlet when I was washing up. As I tipped out the water with bits of left over rice down the plug hole the swan was there 'hoovering' up the rice. :-D
