Dates

Dates are often eaten to break the fast and here they are on sale at the supermarket. There was also a stand with many varieties of both loose and packaged dates for people to purchase.

An easy day, a workout in the gym (the water cooler is hidden), a swim then a bit of exams work. As I was walking to the supermarket at 530 I noticed how quiet the roads were except for (food) delivery drivers - both on motorbike and in small (unusual for Q8) cars. They’re busily delivering food for Iftar which starts at 6.33pm today. Many of those who do these types of jobs are from India and the Philippines so they’re not fasting.

A lazy, and rare, night at home.
