Great Smokey Mountains

Today the Great Smokey Mountains were doing just that. They were smoking!

I put a couple more in the extras. I also put a collage of photos of coming out the various tunnels along the parkway today.

We drove the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville today, stopping at the parkway visitor center and the Folk Art Center.

In Asheville we went to the Farmers Market and while there we met a woman from Turkey who does the most gorgeous fine jewelry by crochet and by tatting. We spent a little while talking with her and Kent bought a couple of pieces of her work. For the time she puts into her pieces, her prices are very reasonable. I could have spent a couple of thousand dollars no trouble, her work was so pretty.

It was another enjoyable day and so glad we met another artist/craftsman.
