Change of Scene

A pleasant time on the allotment in the sun after doing the hens and the  sudden hailstorm that saw me and the hens running for cover - I sat in the coop run which has a plastic cover! None of the hens joined me preferring the shelter of the corrugated sheets of metal on their outside shady run! 
I have decided to put my many dahlias on the allotment - Oscar needs the space of my small backyard! So having sat on the plot for several weeks today I got them in the ground! Felt very satisfying to make a start putting things in rather than just picking off dandelion heads of which there are many! I also spent some time looking at my beds and deciding which ones to start digging over ready for the seeds which are currently sprouting in FatCats room! I have a very large bed where raspberries used to be that will be dug over for my squash - but they are a long way off being ready to go in the ground!
