Book group this morning. Aftermath, a book set in the British sector in 1946 Germany. An interesting book in some ways as it described a place and situation I knew little about. The post war reconstruction (or not), the poverty or not and the feral homeless orphans trying to live. Seems like it was written as a screenplay and is now a film.

Quickly made these "certificates" for the boys as Thomas thought they had done so well with their "mountain"walk.

Now in the van en route in pouring rain for Yorkshire where poor no doubt we'll soaked Alan is walking the C2C. We hope to walk towards him tomorrow and keep him company to Reeth.
