Memories, light the corners of my mind

We stripped their room and freshened their sheets before they came back today and whilst I changed the pillow cases I looked at their Wedding Souvenirs - how lovely eh?

Sunflowers for favours. Wooden place names. A Polaroid from the photo booth. Boy’s cufflinks and hipflask gifted by the groom.

Very special - I thought they may leave them ; they were full to the gunnels when they arrived and I didn’t notice anything going by the wayside - but no; all the treasures have been carefully packed and whisked away with them.
