Diary of an Edinburgher

Sunshine!

What a grand day all round! It started with Archie and I sitting out in the front garden while JR was at her double gym session. Jordan arrived to take Archie out for a walk, JR arrived back, glowing, and then Mary W (new mum to George and Lola), arrived at the gate. She joined us in the sunshine for a cuppa. Then another neighbour came by to talk about an on-going saga of a tree in their back garden. More tea was drunk. When they had gone, Mary B came by after her gentle gym session. The gym staff really make such a fuss of her - even coffee and biscuits in the staff room half way through her session. What a jolly social morning.

In the afternoon, we sat out in the sunshine in the back garden. I read my book. And when JR popped out for an hour or so, I remembered that there was one lonely Magnum in the (new) freezer. There isn’t now.

Later, we had fun unpacking bowls and plates and jugs out of the storage boxes and arranging things on the new cabinet. It's an on-going project. What fun. I even got the flying ducks put up again (JR has been resisting them...)

And, best of all, we had sweetcorn fritters for tea - my favourite!

Here's the tulips in their new home, possibly. And no, that's not the sound system remote - it's the extraction fan remote.
