Good Friday

This lovely Easter card arrived in the post yesterday.  It was made by Emily my niece and was such a pleasant surprise.  It is cheering up the kitchen along with Andy's birthday cards.

It has been another very warm day.  It was only a week or so ago we had a cold easterly wind so my body feels rather unaccustomed to the higher temperature.

We have been busy at the allotment - well, Andy more so than I, hammering in posts so that I can train some fruit bushes and my apple trees along some wire.  We've also put up a small fence around the storage area at the front of the allotment.  

After lunch I spent an hour or so in the front garden putting in the plants we bought at the garden centre yesterday.  Then it was time to walk Merlin who seemed to find the energy to run endlessly on his walk!  

Hopefully some time to rest this evening.  We've been enjoying watching the new series of 'A House Through Time' so may catch up with the latest episode later.
