Blackthorn

The sunny weather goes on! It was 17C today and so we went to Howe Ridding again to walk this weeks butterfly transects.
Again, plenty of peacock and brimstone, and the first speckled Wood.
The damson blossoms are now out and should get pollinated so I’m hoping for a good crop later in the year.
Bluebells are also opening, along with primrose and violet. A perfect spring day.
