Nuneaton Borough FC 2 Chester FC 3
Chester won the game with a goal in the 93rd minute today to keep alive their hopes of getting to the play-offs. This makes it sound more exciting than it was and the reality is that the Blues should have had the match sewn up before injury time but they didn't play well against a poor Nuneaton team who were relegated as a result of this defeat.
The picture shows Akwasi Asante, in yellow, who scored the first goal after only 4 minutes. Nuneaton equalised just before half time but Chester took the lead in the 51st minute. Just as it looked the game was going to peter out into a 2-1 win Nuneaton equalised with 3 minutes left before Danny Livesey scored his second deep into injury time.
It was a successful day on the geocache front as we found a handful of geocaches before the game and ended up at the brewery tap of the Church End brewery just outside Nuneaton. A great pub that was really hidden away.
