Chester FC 1977/78

A backblip by about three minutes.

As the Chester FC historian and statistician I am also secretary of the Chester Former Players Association. Tonight we had an event to celebrate Chester's highest ever league position, 5th in the old Third Division in 1977/78. 

Under the circumstances we were very pleased to get nine players to come along and football fans may be familiar with some of the names. Present were Brian Lloyd, Nigel Clutton, Ian Mellor, Nigel Edwards, Ian Edwards, Mike Kearney, Jim Walker, Bob Delgado, Grenville Millington.

As well as being the interviewer I also ended up as photographer at the end of the evening. I took several shots of which this is the best so you can imagine what the others were like. This is the least worst but trying to get them all to face in the right direction and smile while other people were also taking photos proved to be practically impossible so apologies to the two players who didn't come out well at all.
