London Town
Took a lunchtime train to Liverpool St and after collecting our theatre tickets from Wyndham's Theatre, Leicester Square, I spent a very relaxing three hours wandering Covent Garden, including St Paul's church. At 18.00 Erin and her dad, who'd spent the entire day at the British Museum, joined me in the Brewster pub as I was finishing half of Abbot and we went for dinner in the nearby Lebanese restaurant before the evening performance of Arthur Miller's "The Price" starring David Suchet. The set was intriguing, beautifully constructed, but no photography allowed so can't share... The cast gave an excellent performance of this sometimes amusing but thoughtful plot, and the whole thing was a visual treat in this charming Victorianesque theatre. Ardent Poirot fan, it was splendid to see David Suchet 'in the flesh'.
