From the dark corner.....

Getting ready for the end?

Ah Monday! How I love you! Well, not really. The first day back after Ayr week is always a messy catch up day on the sort of things I can't do remotely.

I went to McDonalds for my killing time cuppa and three of them, (yes THREE of them) ummmed and ahhhed over my Scottish tenner trying to decide whether they could accept it or not. Honestly, you'd think I'd handed them a dog turd! They took it anyway.

'Scotland is just like Ireland, isn't it?' asked the one little smiley fellow as he told me he'd never seen Scottish money before. He was clearly delighted by this early morning experience. I just told him that the scenery was similar and left it at that rather than give him a lecture while my tea cooled.

A big tub of chocolate fingers had appeared by the kettle in the office! I ate about ten while admiring it, as you do.

It was a reasonable day. There was nothing wild to report.

I wandered through Touchwood on my way to the bus stop. There was a huge queue at Santa's Grotto so I just hurried past. I preferred the other end closer to my bus - people getting lots of Christmas shopping before the end of the week and/or the end of the world!

Track? A bit of unChristmassy Gary Moore for you - End of the World
