The Cone

Poor Merlin, he has been licking his wound too much so we have had to put this cone on him. He is gradually getting used to it, including how to negotiate the furniture without crashing into it. We’ve tried various other options, including a pair of pants (!), but none worked. The inflatable collar we tried was no good as he has a long tongue and a long bending body so could reach his wound!

In other news, yesterday I attended a workshop at Tuppenny Barn, the local sustainability centre, and learned all about how to grow vegetables and fruit. I came away with seeds for various heritage vegetable varieties, celery seedlings and a Josta berry bush - a cross between a black currant and a gooseberry!
