Lady in green

Is "lady" non PC, a derogatory term or just plain condescending? The public toilets usually have the word "Ladies" on the door. Other W.Cs for example in restaurants use the female symbol and others obscure drawings - Women in skirts, men in trousers. I rarely wear a skirt or dress, so I may be confused.

I asked a group of women friends how they liked to be referred to, and "girls" was acceptable and Ladies ie. those that lunch, equally okay.

I am digressing from the purpose of this emergency bilp but this grey dull day has not inspired me to take outdoor pics. The lady in green sits on a DVD shelf guarding the DVDs we seldom watch but are reluctant to dispose of.
I cannot remember where we got her - possibly Germany, but who knows?

Relaxing now after a very busy day getting everything organised for the house/pet sitters who are arriving tomorrow. Packing is done, and with fingers crossed for dry weather, we are looking forward to a week of coastal walking in North Devon.
