Dreadful

Apologies for the gruesome image but this is the sight I came across on my walk the other day. I had crossed the river and was following an ancient path to the old family cottage which is on a neighbour's farm. A few weeks ago the farmer carried out some gorse bush burning, goodness knows why as it appears to grow back even stronger! The first bush i walked to had the remains of this poor ewe. How long she had been trapped in the bushes and why she had entered them I don't know. She would have been well hidden and looks to have become really stuck in her attempts to get free, so no chance of being discovered and helped. Her sad form has only become visible after the burning. Fotunately Fin did not find her remains, I guess there was no scent to tempt him.
