The day started very sensibly with a lecture on the nothern artist John Martin, not well-regarded in his day by the RA and critics, but popular with the public- maybe the Jack Vetriano of the 18/19th century? Not my thing but interesting.

Started my Blurb book on China and it only accepted 2 pictures before continually crashing.

Decided to de-stress at the gym, but there was no parking as all the parents were picking kids up from school so had parked in the gym car park. Maybe those kids on strike about climate change should make a start by telling their parents they could walk home?

Then a wonderful catch up at Carol and Phil’s. Other friends Katy and Colin were there. We gave Linda a lift - her Colin is in Washington at a conference about accessibility for the elderly.

We all had a wonderfully relaxed and rather silly time. Minimal Brexit, and no chat about China.
