TGIF
Woke to the shocking news from New Zealand. Listened to Radio New Zealand in the morning. Reminded me of listening to Radio NZ after the Christchurch earthquake in 2011. Poor old CHCH. I thought Jacinda Ardern gave a very good response.
An impressive amount of work done again today in the bathroom. Actually, there is no bath there, so technically, it's not a 'bathroom'. Want to call it - The Douche? (that sounds a bit rude).
Anyway, the chaps worked all day getting the shower wall built, the lighting cables, the first part of the flash new bog, the floor. Such a lot of work. And when they left they tidied up and washed the path!
Not quite so much done in the kitchen - one more week anticipated. Peter did another coat on the ceiling and filled in a few holes.
Jordan came to take Archie out, which Archie was very pleased about. They saw two woodpeckers. Lots of barking this morning, but lots of crying when Andrew the boss arrived. And he had one of his own dog's treats in his pocket!
JR had her favourite double fitness session, and shower. The workmen said they all use the toilets there (in answer to Forthport's impertinent question).
After everybody had departed, we popped round to see a pal who's not in good health at the moment, and when we came back we had a bit of a mop down. Washed all the crockery in the open shelves, and will clean the shelves tomorrow, put the clean crockery back, and seal it up properly. We don’t anticipate quite so much dust from now on.
Jordan and Archie got home just before the snow/sleet arrived. It's been sunshine and sleet all day, though the workmen were able to do most of their sawing and cement mixing outside. Jordan joined us in a toasted bagel with avocado, but had to hold it up high away from you-know-who. But he managed. And yes, Archie did get a wee bit.
THREE rugby games tomorrow!
