niche

There is a very small art gallery in our town which very few people even know about, but which has been hosting mini exhibitions  by local artists for at least three years.

The gallery uses two small niches in the wall of the Midsteeple, in the centre of Dumfries. These used to house a barometer and a thermometer. You can see them here in the blog of one of the featured artists, Katie Anderson. Today I noticed that one of the niches was currently home to some tiny puppets, their headgear fashioned from bottletops. Quite difficult to photograph through the glass, so I used my phone.

The puppets were made by Emily Tough, of the curiously-named "We Agree on Eggs". Her website is here!
