The Study of Marilyn

About every other night...just before I tuck myself in...I have to take my dollar store wooden back scratcher...and...sitting on the edge of the bed...work my back over. Especially in the winter...when the inside heated air is so dry.

It's a job that my wife Lisa will gladly do...but...I 've found that no one besides you...knows just the right pressure and just the right place to scratch.

The middle picture of Marilyn reminded me of my back dilemma. The duck reaches back with her beak...but...if I could just reach back there with my arm and hand...oh how nice that would be. And...while we're here...it makes me wonder if I look as goofy as Marilyn does while she's scratching. Sure, it's a look of contentment...but still goofy.

I went into the library next to the pond...in search of some music. I came away with Celtic Thunder, Alabama, Loretta Lynn, Gaelic Storm, and Gordon Lightfoot. The Lightfoot CD hadn't been checked out since November of 2003. Perhaps it's time for me to explore some more current artists. NAHHH!!!

If ducks can be pretty...I think Marilyn is pretty. The orange on white is very becoming on her. Throw in a touch of cream...a touch of yellow...and it makes a nice look. If I were a gander...I'd certainly take a gander at her. Click on LARGE to get a closer look at the goofy look.
